What's been going on with Zoom......
So Bryce gave Wyatt a nickname: Zoom. It's because Wyatt does everything in a hurry. He drinks and eats quickly and he is quick to take whatever in his mouth and he's just growing so quickly. He likes it when Bryce calls him Zoom but he knows his name is Wyatt. I still have not thought of a sign name for him. But I feel like it is a big decision because whatever sign name I give him will stick with him. I am fond of calling him "Wee wee Wyatt" because he pees so much! But of course his sign name will not be similar to that. Wyatt has taken to sleeping on his stomach and being on his stomach during the day. I remember when he was younger and he used to hate being on his stomach. He would do tummy time for only 5 minutes then cry to be let off his tummy. Now he just loves being on his tummy. He sleeps on his tummy every night now. So whenenver I put him down for his nap, I just put him on his tummy because I know that's how he will end up sleeping. He is doing very good with eating. So we think he will be an eater which means we won't have to worry about him starving! He probably will eat us out of the house when he's a teen but that's fine! Haha. He hasn't had any problems eating whatever we give him which is great. It's just been amazing watching him grow up. I was giving him a bath last night and he was moving around a lot and whatnot so I think it's time for the big tub for him. I just have to say I'm still sooo happy with having Wyatt around and it's still going pretty good so far. I'm looking forward to the summer because it'll be nice to take him out plus I can take him to the pool!
Getting bigger and smarter.....
I know I should really make it more of a habit to write on here more but it is hard sometimes with school, my family, an apartment to take care of, and other things that goes on. I really wanted to write tonight though because Wyatt has done some amazing things just this week so I wanted to write it down. I know I said Wyatt was "ALMOST crawling" in an earlier post but now I know that wasn't the case. On Wednesday we all (Bryce, Wyatt, and I) were at my mom's to feed Toby (the family dog) since my mom was out of town and watch Wyatt while the other one was in class. Bryce said Wyatt got on his fours like he was going to crawl and he tried to get me to see it but I was in the middle of fixing a bottle so I missed it! On Thursday morning I was putting Oraljel on Wyatt's gums and lo and behold, I felt a tooth!!! I was so surprised because I had put some Oraljel on him the night before and there wasn't anything there. So I guess he just sprouted a tooth overnight! I was so excited! Wyatt had been fussing and I know it was because he was teething so I was wondering when he would finally cut a tooth. It is a little more out now. Earlier tonight, Bryce and I were having dinner and in the middle of that, Wyatt started really fussing. I felt bad but I figured he'd be okay for a few minutes until either one of us finished eating. Then Bryce said he started saying "mamamama" So of course I got up and picked him up from his pack and play pen. He instantly stopped fussing. I wasn't sure Wyatt actually knew what that meant or if he was just making sounds. Bryce has been trying to teach him to say "mama" and "daddy" or "dada" while he points at me or him. So I figured it was just random. A few minutes later, I gave Wyatt to Bryce so I could go make him a bottle. Wyatt was fussing again. So while Bryce had him, Wyatt started saying "mamamama" again and Wyatt was looking right at me while I was in the kitchen and he was really fussing. So I came to him and after I got him, he was just fine again. So this is very exciting for me! He knows me as mama and he wants his mama sometimes. Wyatt just adores his dad and Bryce is awesome with him so Wyatt is always smiling and happy for Bryce but not as much for me. So I admit I get a little jealous but tonight confirmed how Wyatt feels towards me. I've been trying to teach him the "I love you" sign and he does it sometimes but it's very fleeting. I think he knows it's a good sign because most of the time when he sees it, he smiles and grabs at my hand. When football was in season, my mom was showing him how to do the "touchdown" sign! I am pretty sure by the time football starts again (if they can get their b.s. together!) this year Wyatt will have that sign down no problem! Ok, this post is just about this week....I am going to make a new post and talk about what has been going on since I last wrote....
